One of the things I love about my job is that the days always go by reasonably quickly (unfortunately, so does the weekend!). When I was working in retail even the 3-hour shifts seemed to drag on. Part of that was also the travel time, because I was working ½ hour from home and travelling by either bus or a lift from my parents. Now I am driving and living only about 15 minutes away, so that makes things a lot easier. My main problem is that on both of my normal routes home there are shopping centres and when I’ve had a bad day I tend to go shopping. Much as I would have liked to shop, I managed to restrain myself today. Not that it was a bad day… I’m just tired and I know that I have a busy week ahead of me. I am off to training on Thursday so that will break the week up a bit.
I was a little bit disappointed that I didn’t get much done on the weekend. I meant to do some more work on my novel, SR but I wasn’t feeling the best and then my laptop and my flash drive were playing up on me. I did manage to install a couple more programs on my laptop, which is becoming my main machine, at least for the basics. It’s so handy to have when I am sitting in the lounge room and now I can sit and watch TV and work (either on schoolwork or one of my stories) without having to be away from the rest of the family. As I type this Border Security is on, which is always interesting. I always like watching it because of the customs dogs.
I am so glad that the regular TV shows are starting back. Last night I watched Grey’s Anatomy, which I have been looking forward to for months after reading the writer blogs on the Grey’s website. Tonight I am going to watch Dirty Sexy Money because I’ve heard some good things about it. I also watched Brothers and Sisters last night, which was great.
One of the girls from work is going to read my novel for me so I will take the first 5 chapters in for her tomorrow if I remember to print it out tomorrow morning. I am currently trying to get chapter six finished for my friend from uni, K, who I need to call and catch up with. I have also been looking at some of my older stories, just for a little change of pace. It’s amazing to look back on what I have stored away… I have over 50 stories, most of which have a roughly developed plot or a sequence. About half are fantasy, most of the rest are suspense and I have a couple of short stories too.
Time for me to get moving… otherwise I could be writing all night!

Wow, I read the last para of your post…you DO have a lot stored away..wish I did have half as many in fiction. Since I write boring articles for a profession, writing fictions seems like a tall deal!
